Had another 2 nights in hospital, been on antibiotics and prednisolone for 10 days, still suffering shortness of breath and coughing up a lot of gunk. Kept me on nebs and steroids again but it taking so much longer than usual to clear up.

Thanks Pegbl,

Just hope it doesn't take too long.

Best place whilst you are feeling so lousy. I hope your chest clears soon, that gunk is better out than in. Chin up :-)

Thanks A1J1S,

I've even got a whisky mac on the go, if it doesn't help shift the gunk. at least it will help me get some sleep.

Good for you. Anything that helps one way or 'tother won't harm.

Try an extra pillow tonight. Cheers :-)

Hi, there's a lot of nasty infections going around just now. They seem to take ages to clear up.

You're in the best place for good treatment so just keep taking the meds, have a nice rest & you'll soon be feeling so much better.

Get well soon 🌷

Thanks Jessy11,

Hoping this extra dose of steroids helps, don't want this dragging on too long now.

Hi Fabgran,

Happy Birthday.

They sent me home with another 7 days of preds at 40mg (I've been on them for 12 days already), then weaning of down to my maintenance dose of 10mg. When we did this last year I got through the whole of the winter without any flare ups, this is my 2nd since xmas, I'm having saline nebs to help shift the gunk off my chest.

Just hope I'm rid of it before March when we start camping with the scouts

Its not great being in hospital ,many of us dread it, but until the meds start doing their job, its a waiting game. I always remember the luxury of having a t.v. came at an expensive price too. Hopefully you're on the mend. Take care.

Wishing you a speedy recovery xxx

Hi All,

Went to GP yesterday, to get some nebules & a certificate for work and was signed off until Wednesday, had a bad coughing fit all the way home, my phone had died on me while waiting at GP's, so I couldn't call for help. Managed to get home and got my wife to give me a nebuliser before I could explain what had happened.

Things have settled down since, just have to wait and see if I'm well enough for work tomorrow.
