Why do you need to lose Waite to help as you think to help you breath yes why I am asking is I have delt with food all my life as a shop keeper and a chef were you see all them foods that you see on tv and like slim fast ect are all a waste of time all you got to do is eat a smaller potion of food than what you nomaly eat but I will tell you do not eat packet mash . mash your own with only a little marge not butter so just eat what you nomaly eat and do a little bite off walking every day if you can good luck let me know how you get on

Thanks very much for your reply I will give it a try

Protein leave you feeling fuller as does complex proteins ie brown rice rather than white. There are a whole list of those and they are on google.

Look at the fat levels and calorie content of any packaged food you buy. Most importantly don't deny yourself any foods otherwise you will crave them all the more. Eat less of the bad food like cakes, biscuits etc.

Exercise has been shown to help as apparently after a brisk walk eg your body continues to burn fuel even after you stop.

Don't skip any meals especially breakfast. When you starve your body it will lower your metabolism rate to hold on to the calories it has. That's a big mistake most people trying to lose weight make. Try not to fry foods, grilling is better.

You can join Weightwatchers online for a small fee. Good luck. x

Prepare carrot and celery and sweet pepper sticks, and store in a container in the fridge for when you feel hungry and need a snack attack.

I am with eregendal,

I but carrots ready to eat ( batons ) from Asda they cost £1 for a large bag full.

Celery again washed and cut into bite sizes.

Peppers £1 for 3 in Asda.

I have lost half a stone doing this ( I am a snacker ) so it helps me.

Breakfast I start the day with a bowl of oats lunch poached egg toast, evening meal baked potato with baked beans and green side salad.

I started because of my weight, still waiting to see if that works....

Good luck June24

I met a Welshman who said to me "We don't need all this food, we're not hewing coal". When I think I'm hungry I think of this and consider if I really am hungry or it is just habit/boredom making me crave things. You will find if you can eat smaller portions and stick to mealtimes (if you are really hungry then a piece of fruit will suffice) then after a while your stomach will adjust and you will want less food.Much better than dieting which is only a temporary fix.

Join Slimming World--never hungry as most amazing you can eat as much as you like of many of their menus. Weight loss is slow but steady for most people, while others loose more rapidly. Worth a try and sociable at the same time.

acidalkalinediet.net/alkali...

Eat like we did as children...plenty of fresh foods no processed

A high alkaline diet will help with your weight and can improve our ph levels which can help improve our health as lung patients ....ive found it to give me more energy and my last visits to my consultant was really encouraging because my results were better than they have even been

Keep a bottle of water close to hand and have a drink rather than a nibble - it works for me. Good luck xxx

Am loosing weight at mo. I have accepted that my old way of eating is gone. Now I only eat meal times (4).I have reduced my carbohydrate intake and increased protein, fat and vegetables. Used to eat lots of fruit but have cut that back .Get most of my Vit C from vegetables now. I get plenty of rest at mo so as not to increase my desire for energy food. Just a slow walk out and some housework..You must accept your old diet habits are no more and healthy eating is for life. YOUR mind must be convinced and decide.
