I am a welfare volunteer for Age Concern Fuengirola y Mijas & I have a client having her mother-in-law to Spain on holiday. The oxygen is used when required.
Can you give me any info on how to go about getting the oxygen here in Spain free.
I look forward to any help so that I can help others.
Regards, Linda

Don't know if you will get it for free Linda, I once looked into it and you had to pay up front, then chance your arm getting it back from the NHS.............. but I'm sure someone on here did post about a free service once? Might be a better option to hire a small oxygen concentrator and take it over, especially if they only use it now and again.
I would be interested in the responses to this question too. I am english and live in Almeria Spain... way up in the mountains. I have EPOCH (spanish for copd) I am on oxygen. I have a machine in the house and a large cylinder, for our frequent electric cuts, which is FREE and is serviced 3 monthly. I enquired about a portable unit so I can go to my grand daughters wedding in april and was told i had to see the specialist again as they are the only ones can change what I have. ALSO if they let me have a portable unit it cannot be taken out of Almeria province??? soooo trying to find out what good is that?
thank you for the information. i will contact them with my query. problem seems to be taking their equipment out of area, never mind out of spain on plane or across france by car.
