Oxygen home and abroad?

Hi, I've just spoken to my Oxygen delivery man and asked him what happens about getting O2 when going on holiday ?

Firstly he told me that they or another company will deliver (machine and barrel) to my hotel or wherever I'm staying, tent even, and will be there ready for use on my arrival.

So that's fantastic news for hols in the UK but then I asked him about hols abroad. He didn't know but I think there must be similar services in Spain etc.

Does anyone know if there are such services abroad if so that would be great.

Thanks👍

I'm sure there are similar services abroad. Have a look at the Related Posts to the right of your post. You might find some useful information there.

You could also phone the BLF Helpline (03000 030 555 office hours) for advice.

Give yourself plenty of time to organise any paperwork you might need, and I've no doubt you'll be able to sort something out for your holiday. Good luck!

I spoke to my suppliers - Baywater - and they gave me a contact number for use abroad. apparently based in Spain but with Agents throughout Europe - I haven’t used the service though and we’re considering buying our own concentrator. I would still need back-up cylinder and ambulance cylinders too. The number I was given was 00 34 966 88 28 73.

Best of luck - incidentally we looked at a cruise and was quoted something in the region of £600 for a week hire of concentrator, batteries and cylinders.

Thank you for your excellent feedback. I am a bit shocked at the price. It would be quite a "dear do" with that and travel insurance on top. So it's a thing to think about again.

Kind regards.

I used Fisher - the brokers recommended by the BLF - about £260 for both my wife and I for three weeks in France this summer - they wouldn’t touch me for cruises though. Last year I used a company advertised in the newspaper and that was £600 just for me, but my wife insisted that I took out cover so I had to bite the bullet.

Hi there, I dont travel abroad but do go away here and touch wood my supplier has always come up with the goods where ever I'm going, I have a concentrator and 6 ambulatory cylinders, Dolby Vivisol have an option on the phone for holiday supplies, if they are not in the location they find someone who is. Bit long winded, pardon the pun. 😉
