If it works better for you, don't worry about how it works for others....I have had changes with my inhalers and when they work better I am thrilled :) Take care and good luck :)

i was changed to fostair from seretide too couldn't really see any diffrents either way but was told if breathing is bad like during an infection and just after can take 2 extra puffs morning and night I think it adds a did more steroid that way

Everyone is different what is good for one is not good for others. It may take a while for you to feel any difference hope you start to feel the benefit soon

Hi , yes I was changed to Fostair from Seretide I am doubting if it is helping slao .

I have given it a month BUT, My sats are all over the place and I am well down on resting readings.

When I get off the chair I feel like I am lifting a Tonne weight as well.... I`m only 14st..

I see my doctor soon and I think I will bring the matter up with him.

I have a feeling that Fostair is cheaper than Seretide Whatever the reason for the change they are getting asked to change me back to Seretide..

If you feel it is not helping you ( or better than Seretide ) I suggest you do the same.

It is your body and you know when it is not being helped so tell them...

Tom. :)

Fostair is half the cost of Seretide, hence the drive to change, but there has also been some research published recently suggesting long term use of Seretide increases the risk of pneumonia. Whether or not this is coincidental is open to question. I have changed and found no particular differences between the two drugs. If anything the new one is less of a throat irritant. Only long term use will determine which is most effective.

Hi, my Seretide has been changed to Sirdupla. I've been assured by the pharmacist and a doctor that it's exactly the same as Seretide but a lot cheaper.

Don't know about Fostair I'm afraid

thankyou tom x

Good morning rusty4ever,

I find Fostair excellent so no I don't think it is in your mind. I was prescribed it last year after finding salbutamol on it's own was not enough.
