Hi everyone, just a quick one. I had a letter last week telling me that they were changing one of my inhalers. I thought it was the Spivera but no it was Symbcort 2006. They have given me one calledDuoResp*Spiromax. I have got to and see the nurse to be shown how to use it. They said that they had looked at my resent check up on my COPD and they think i would be better for this change. I am keeping an open mind and will wait and see.

I have been alright since my husband died in July Everyone keeps asking how are you coping. I reply yes im just carrying on as i did before.

Well hope everyone is doing the best they can. XX

Hope the change of inhaler goes ok.

Hi the DuoResp is the generic version of symbicort and is a lot cheaper. The ingredients are the same but the expedient is different in that the particles are finer than symbicort which didn't suit me. It works for many though so give it a try first. After using it for a few weeks I rang the doctor who changed it back without argument. Good luck with it.

I get on well with the duoresp xx

I have been given the same one but was told it was just the delivery system (how you use it) that was different. The medication is the same as symbicort.
