This is for anybody that has a PayPal account. For the second time this month I received what looked like a genuine message from PayPal with the logo and it all looking like it was kosher. They say they,re changing something in ones settings and to" click this link" to confirm new settings.Well Sherlock D did,nt come up the Thames in a rowing boat.So I got onto Google and went SEPARATELY to PayPal to check and low and behold no such changes have been made.I,m making it light on purpose but this is very serious,do not click on any links to PayPal,do as I did and go SEPARATELY to PayPal if you have any queries. This scam could cost you a lot of money so please take heed.I,m going to try and contact PayPal to tell them about this.On a lighter note, saw GP yesterday and last bloods show I don,t have hyperthyroidism so no extra pills to take woohoo, stuck with the statins and BP pills though( forever more probably)Hope you can catch the last of the summer "Rays".Keep smiling and breathing! D.

Scam Warning!PayPal.
Excellent news about your health! You will be pleased! 😀
Just forward all suspicious emails from PayPal to spoof@paypal.co.uk.
Take care 🌷
Thanks Happy,D.
good job you did check it out its so easy for people to get scammed now .
I always forward suspicious emails to spoof@insert name of bank/paypal/etc
Hi - for some reason I have an email from 'paypal' every single day telling me all sorts of random c....! I never open any of them - delete straight away. If I ever think any of it might be genuine I go to my actual Paypal account and check because the information would show there. There's never a problem - the account just ticks away. It's just that my email address has got onto some list or other and hey presto. It's relentless.
On the other hand good news on your blood tests. x piggi
Good news about your health. There are so many scammers about, you have to be so careful xx
Hi that's great news about the blood tests , the PayPal account I had the same done to me the other week had email saying I had brought something and I hadn't soted it out and I changed my password that's what they said to do have a great day
I have a Paypal account, but thankfully have not been plagued with scam emails...yet?
If any suspicious messages ask you for your details i.e. Username, password etc., You can be sure it's a scam. Genuine sites never ask for personal details if you're already with them. You do right to report it Farmer, Paypal are very fast acting on such things. They've gotten money back for me several times after I've bought from a "rip-off" dealer.
I get emails every day claiming to be from paypal. I send them to paypal as spoof emails some days I get 2 or 3. paypal would always use your name and never address you as dear customer or dear paypal user. please don't click on any links they send
always send spoof email to paypal
if not sure who they are from then check on your paypal account are there should be a notification on paypal if they did send it
joyce
Scared of Paypal. Rather go without the goods than use that service.
Thanks for the warning D, this is a recurring problem online. Thanks too for tips in other replies. Glad to hear your health is keeping good. x
We have had those too FarmerD but ignore them as we know they are scams. It is terrible the way others try to con people out of their money. Thanks for the alert. Good news on your blood test. You take care. xxx
thanks I too have had several of these warning my account would be closed - as you did not use link but went to pp site and all ok have also reported it as pishing scam - never use links thanks again for warning xx
Thanks for that 😃
Hi Farmer D. Thanks for mentioning the PayPal scam letter. I have received one too. Not the same as yours tho with links that the unwary might well click on. Mine was to do with a purchase that I had supposedly made but not paid for. The email was sent from "Ebay Customer Service(intl-paypel@usservice.onmicrosoft.com)" Note the spelling of paypel! Lots of PayPal logos and a London address. Looked kosher bar several mistakes. I went direct to EBay customer help/chat (not by clicking the link in the letter) and they confirmed it must be a spoof email. They asked me not to click on anything in the email but to forward it to spoof@ebay.co.uk which I have. I suggest you all do the same. They also said to forward it onto /www.actionfraud.police.uk but it didn't work. Maybe I didn't read correctly " .co.uk"? Must try again soon. PS it was for $79.00 for camera from Japan. The sort of amount, not too small or too large to cause alarm. Sneaky b*s aren't they?
Thanks for this info Farmer D has i have had the same email.
Good luck my freind and
Keep breathing
