Warning - HSBC phishing/scam

Text received this morning telling me that my HSBC account has been locked and to click on the security link.

Obviously I haven't clicked on the link. If I had an HSBC acc I might have panicked and done so but I dont.

Their trick is to get you to click the link, get you to to log in to your account and bingo, they've got your login details.

I very much hope no one here has been caught out.

I have had these scam emails too and they use a variety of different banks hoping to strike it lucky. They did guess mine in the end but I ignored it. x

I had a phone call telling me my non-existent Amazon account had been. used. I have a witheld number so do not get spam usually. This one used an 0800 number. Was this a spam or a wrong number?
