Well since the good weather is here, well at least for 24 hours, yesterday I was in the back garden weeding planting etc, 6 hours solid, went to be aching, this morning I got up early and built a new section of damaged fence, 18 foot lenght with 35 6 foot panels, then felt brave enough to paint the back fences and 2 garden huts, never again, lying in bed just now aching all over lol, tomorrow I'm doing nothing.

Garden work.
Hi 1968, that's a lot of work in one day no wonder you are aching. Take a rest or you will end up in hospital. I did a bit of gardening the relevant word being bit. But do have to catch the sun so did some pruning and a little weeding. I've been invaded by horsehair which is almost impossible to get rid of. Afraid I can't manage the fence painting anymore or if I did it would take me about six months there are 12 panels to left, a fence and gate across the width then about 8 panels length to the right. Takes me about eight hours to paint one panel on a good day Well done to you .
One job I hate is fence painting, you buy a tub of pain and it says one coat, no chance I end up giving the wood three coats lol
Quite a few paints are like that, end up having to go back for more paint. Just been putting a base stand on a TV and found the instructions are back to front i.e step 1 should be step two and step two should be step one but managed to sort it out myself. No wonder people get frustrated. Oh and it does not tell you there is a switch underneath to start the installation either. Not everyone can work it out themselves need specific instructions. Hope you are enjoying your rest.
Well done, I love my garden too, I did a lot of planting out last year and have be able to sit out and enjoy it this year, managed to do the weeding a couple of days ago. As well as having COPD I also have a degenerate spine, so like you I always pay for the work I do with pain. BUT, I consider it worth it for the joy I get from seeing my beautiful garden. Enjoy your rest and your garden.
