Like really you would not think vitamin B12 Deviancy could be mistaken for leukima but it as and people suffering from B12 Deviancy have under gone treatment for leukima NEEDLESS to say am hoping my own abnormal blood cells are down to B12.
That's very interesting D3NIS, I can believe what the doctor is saying and it's such a simple test and cheap to perscribe. I have a very poor appetite and I have taken a vitimin B complex when I was really run down but, I might try the B12 on it's own now because my fatigue and muscle pain/weakness has been getting steadily worse over the last 9 months. It's worth a try. Thanks for the heads up. xx
These levels the NHS use for all tests seem low and this might be why people who have Lupus and many other conditions suffer for years before they are treated i think it is time the levels were looked at
I know what you mean I have just had a blood test for possible trial of a new Statin. I was 3.5 from 1995 till recently even when I was on statins. They changed my tablets and took me off statins for a month but it did not stop the pain as they hoped so put me back on them. They then asked for another test and it showed 3.5 again but the trail test showed 6.5 so on that I am high? If I have my INR done in my local hospital and then have it in another outside my area they are always .2 lower? Even though they say they calibrate the test nationally?
The only thing they seem to be consistent on is their inconsistencies!
In Japan and some other countries apparently they keep their patients B12 bloods over 500 to help keep dementia and Alzheimers away, Hubby and I were not too far over the 300 mark, so we now supplement with methylcobalamin. We need to recheck our B12 bloods as they might not have improved yet, some people need the B12 injections (due to pernicious Anemia) as pills sometimes are no good.
I have seen the video on you tube about 'Doctor Chandy and B12 deficiency' around a year ago and was amazed by it, the same people are in the program. There was also a program about an American Doctor who had B12 (Pernicious Anemia) and nearly died his B12 bloods were low, but because his B12 bloods were reading 'within range' his fellow Doctor friends did not have a clue. Luckily someone realized in time and within a short time he was back to normal.
Same thing is happening with Thyroid (Hypothyroid) patients, many are being left to rot, yet you can still have a thyroid problem when your bloods are reading 'within range' (your Doctor says your Thyroid bloods are normal because they are reading 'within range')
'Low,' 'Normal' (low within range) is the problem, but Doctors rarely treat 'Low,' 'Normal' patients.
