Morning every one its a wet and overcast morning down here in Devon, but its not much so might just clear up later. I am off at 0800 to take Kate to work at the hospital in Exeter as Hannah has driven up to Bristol to get a flight to Newcastle to attend a meeting and if Kate gets the bus a twenty minute trip takes nearly an hour so I will take her, as it gives us a chance for a chat as well, then I will go back up at 1700 to collect her, it will be a good bit of arm work exercise any way. I t was good news to read that Pete is able to be home after his operation, so steady as you go pal. Right what have we got today oh yes......
This young woman (hair colour unknown) got a job as a physical education teacher at a boys school. One day whilst out in the school sports area she saw a lad standing all alone at the end of the field whilst all the rest of the boys were running around having fun with a ball.
She felt sorry for him and decided to have a talk with him.
"You OK " she said
"Yes" said the boy
" You can go and play with the others if you want"
"No I had better stay here" the lad replied.
"Why is that " the teacher replied ?
The boy looked at her incredulously and said...............
"Because I am the the Goal Keeper Miss"
Right every one hope you have a good day and if you are able to get out and about enjoy the weekend as well. xx Fred

What a lovely dad you are Fred, nice to still be able to help the kids out though I say. Thanks for your kind words regarding Pete and don't worry, I am making sure he does as he is told! Hope you are doing ok and have a lovely weekend too.
Thanks for the fun and the laughter. Take care, lots of love, Carole xxxx
That's what dads are for or so I am told Carole I have two daughters one was widowed in her 30's and never remarried, then there is Debbie who married twice and never like it and a 26/7 granddaughter who does not want to marry yet, so no son in laws to help out so I act as a dad to all three, but I do not mind. Hello Pete steady as you go mate pay back time will come quick enough. I am alright speak later xxx Fred
Pete is ok Fred and thanks everyone for their kind words and good wishes. We are lucky to have a wonderful daughter, two sons, one son-in-law and one daughter-in-law, not forgetting our amazing grandson and granddaughter. Youngest son (32!) lives with us and the others all live within minutes so surrounded by help and love. We do our very best for them too of course.
What a quick recovery ,you take it easy, that's all those positive vibes we been sending you, lovely for you to feel like going out,I love this weather, clears all the polution and dirt away, the sun still shines in our hearts.x
You are back with us, Fred, and it sounds like all is well with you, so pleased you are back on the taxi rank, it means you have all your energies restored. What do you mean, rainy in Teignmouth? I am just along the estuary from you at Kingsteignton, dried a line of washing before lunchtime and the garden is so dry, it need a water before supper. Mind you, I can see about five Dartmoor tors from our avenue so we do get a lot of protection. All best wishes, Polly4acre.
Polly when I wrote it was raining over here it was half six ish and youe right then it cheered up in fact the sun is playing on my screen whilst I am writing this. I do not know about being ready for full time family taxi service The trip to Exeter and back twice has worn me out, its the first drive since I was done, and an aching like billy hoe. Cheers Polly have a good weekend. x Fred
