Hi Folks, I was recommended this link to - 'The Breathless Intervention Servce' at Cambridge University Hospital. It has information and videos about coping with breathlessness which might be useful

Hello, Thanks - yes I'm still looking into a cruise and weighing up the odds having been hospitalised recently - a lot to think about with COPD. A post from a while back was quite off putting about a respratory infection caught on one boat via the air con. Have you been on a cruise? James

No, i haven't been on a cruise, although at one time it was on my list of to do's. I thought being sea level and the salt air would be briliant for me.

Now like you I am less sure, having met people who suffered chest illness from air conditioning. I think i remember someone writing about how air conditioning was serviced affected copd & some lines were better, but i can't locate it. Perhaps someone will come along soon with information. Best wishes, Margaret x

Thanks Huff, I was in hospital through late March and April with pneumonia and pseudinomas - took a lot IV antibiotics to get rid of it. First time hospitalised. Still very weak and advised it will be 3 months till recovery. Have been referred for lung function tests. I had great treatment and care from the NHS here in Chelmsford. How are you? xx
