Tomorrow I have to go to the doctor to get the results of my diagnosis. I am very worried that I have something serious in my lungs.
I only had bloody phlegm without a cough, which is what made my doctor give me permission to undergo an X-ray. I have no other symptoms, however I feel anxious and afraid.

I am waiting results from an X-ray also which could be serious - All you can do is try and shut it off, not easy but you will feel more secure when you go into be seen, I find that.
can you take a good friend or family member with you for some moral support? I hope it is not as bad as you are worrying about. Best to know early so that something can be done.
Hi Vinaa, I have been there more than once so understand the feelings, blood in sputum can be caused by many things, the x-ray is only the initial stage and could lead to further tests if the X-ray has shown an anomaly. If there is something there the early it is treated the better
Distraction techniques, ie reading a good book. Lots of free ones on Amazon Prime or 99p ones on offer for a short time and the Kindke App is free to put on your phone &/or your tablet or ipad.
Remember the X-ray is just a quick look if there’s anything wrong it’s straight to a consultant for further testing. It’s a long road try to think of other things a hobby maybe? I know to you this probably sounds daft but I’ve been here and still ongoing
Thank you all for your support, this really means a lot to me!
I could hear my heartbeat in my head when I went to the doctor; The results were as follows: Peribronchial bronchial changes in RLL - can match bronchopneumonia.
The doctor prescribed me medications and ordered another x-ray examination next week.
Hi. I produced blood without a cough many many years ago and a CT scan showed that I had Bronchiectasis, rather than anything more worrying. Better not to speculate and stay strong if you can.
