Hi All,

oh that must be stunning to see........there is nothing to beat nature
That's what I feel Mandy. Just got your pm, and have replied. Mother Nature is stunning, and as I have said, I have found creation is healing, calming and soothing to the soul. This photo was published in the local rag. Pleased that you like where I live as I love my island. Delighted that Laura is back which is a huge relief. You take care as well. Huggs. xxx
Very envious right now.Beautifulx
Wow!! Where do you live Huggs? :)x
Its a little island off the west coast of Scotland called the Isle of Bute. Google it, and you will see a lot more of it. I have just shown a couple of sunsets, but there is so much more to see. You will find it stunning I think. Glad you like it.
Hugs from Huggs xx
Looks fabulous Huggs. Is it easy to get to GP, hospital etc if you need to? x
No it is not, and that is the quandary I am having at the moment. There is a health centre with 6 or 7 GP's and a cottage hospital with 13 beds. Anything serious has to go to the mainland, either by ferry or helicopter depending on time of day, or night and seriousness of condition. I am attending outpatients on the mainland at the moment, and have to rely on patient transport, which is a joke basically. Its not the local crews fault and they are lovely lads, but they are short staffed, and are managed by people on the mainland who have no clue about local difficulties. Some routine outpatient clinics are held at the hospital where a consultant from the mainland will come. Its just pot luck, depending on what it is that is wrong with you, if you can be seen locally or not. If you have your own transport and can get about, then it is easy enough to get to the mainland. A forty minute ferry trip does that, and then there are buses and trains when you reach the mainland. It all depends how mobile you are. Also, the ferries go off when the weather is bad. Its all swings and roundabouts, and I love it here so much that I will just put up with the difficulties meantime. Take care,
Huggs xx
You are very brave Huggs. I hope you always get help
aww Michael, that is so nice of you to say that, but I am not brave at all. I just love living on this beautiful island. I have 3 hospital appointments on the mainland inside a week. I am wondering how many I will get to. LOL
I am independent, so can get by, but do need help at times, like we all do. Thanks for hoping I always get help. You might change your mind when you see the joke I have posted. Sorreee ha ha.

I just love sunset and clouds
Hi ant,
Yes, I am the same, and have no shortage of either in my photos. I never tire of looking at them. Glad you enjoy them too.

Really beautiful and looks almost tropical. Thanks for that huggs. xxx
Hi Sassy,
It does look almost tropical at times, even during the day. The gulf stream runs through the island which makes it a little warmer than on the mainland. Pleased you are enjoying the pictures. There is loads more on google if you want to look for it. Isle of Bute.

Could gaze all day! Lovely Thanks. Mx
Love sunsets - so many variations. We get them at the back of the bungalow but hidden by trees. xx
Oh imagine sitting watching the sunset in that scenery huggs. I wish.xx
Hi Suzy,
As requested by you, sunsets (2). I will post some other view next time. As I have said over and over, I find the wonder of creation so healing, soothing and calming to the soul. I just look out my window and the view is always changing according to the weather. The sea and hills change colours according to the seasons and weather. The sea can look tropical like yesterday, but today is grey, and the hills are enveloped in a fine mist with the white sky. Polar opposite from yesterday.
Get lots of tourists here, and they always marvel at the scenery, but Scotland is popular all over for its scenery. There are large chunks of England & Wales which are stunning as well.

Yes Wendells, I think I am, but we all are really. No matter where we live, there is usually something nice to focus on nearby. You just have to find it, that's all. Are you having problems posting photos, as I am dying to see them. Puff was a naughty boy, sailing a bit close to the wind there, but I let him off. lol

Huggs, this is really top notch, very beautiful.
Hi Michael,
Thank you very much. This photo was published in the local newspaper, but they didn't pay me. sob sob. Pleased you like it.
Hope you are well,

Artist live a rich life only in their art, not in their money! (unless you want to throw a square in the middle of a canvas!)
I am very well at the moment, taking all the "right" vitamins and zinc. As soon as I see, someone coughing, I'll jump back and flee.
Good Michael, and another idea is to get Vicks First Defence in. You really have to have it available in the house, as it is used as soon as you get a hint of the sniffles, and it seems to shorten the cold and severity of it. I have already bought mine all ready for the winter.
Only joking about not getting paid. Its not good enough for that anyway, and the pleasure is in taking the photo and sharing it.
Take care,
