I love where I live, and am fortunate enough to have a sea view, but wouldn't you know it, some inconsiderate body like the council built houses that have roofs on them and spoil the perfect view. I still love it though. Hope you enjoy it.

Gorgeous, u want a lodger lol, I would happily live there with that view. X Sonia x
Hi Sonia,
Yes, I could do with a lodger. You can always have a raffle amongst yourselves. Ha ha
Take care,
Huggs, xxx
Hi Huggs we could all do a weekend each , respite, I'm down for that lol. X Sonia x
Wow - lovely! I overlook fields and man made lakes - I am down the road from Pensthorpe Waterfowl Park. they filmed a Springwatch there a couple of years ago....lots and lots of different birds and wild flowers, etc....night night
Sounds fantastic Louisiana, and just my type of place. We could do swapsies for a holiday. LOL
Take care,
hugs from Huggs xxxx
You are welcome any time - not only the views of Pensthorpe, but miles and miles of fields, with no one else using them....because I am a tenant I can go anywhere. Sadly, I can just about get to the end of my drive now, but I did some wonderful walks when I first moved in 18 yrs ago. I'd send a photo, but have no camera and no equipment that does that kind of thing.....enjoy your day today.
Thanks Louisiana,
That's very kind, but I cannot get around now either, unless by taxi. Its a pity you cannot send a photo. Maybe you know someone who has a camera and take some photos for you. All you need is a camera and computer. If I can do it, then anyone can.! Its actually a lot easier, on this new layout. You can always google it, and look at the views you use to see on your walks. Good luck, and keep well.
hugs from Huggs xxx
thanks Huggs....too bad we can't meet up...those days are gone for me. I always say that if I ever win the lottery (which will be difficult as I hardly ever buy a ticket) my first and most important thing I would "buy" would be a chauffeured car, so I can be taken around to visit all my friendsd through the UK....that would be sooooooo super! I will try to get one of my grandchildren to sort a photo out for me.......you keep well too.
Hi Louisiana,
Great minds think alike! That's what I always say about the lottery and chauffeur, but never buy one either!!
I love nature, as you and others obviously do too, and as Sassy says, there is always something nice to see wherever you are.
Take care,
hugs from Huggs xxx
Great view Huggs !
I am very lucky Argana, and find it so restful and soothing to look out from my couch to see this. You take care, and I am still trying to catch up with everyone. Hope you are well.

Hi Ohtwo,
I am on an island off the west coast of Scotland, called Bute. Its a wonderful place to live, and there are stunning views all around it.
Take care,
Huggs xx
Just had a little read about Bute, what a lovely place to live.

Yes, it is. Pleased that you googled it. There is quite a lot about it on various websites. I live in a little village called Port Bannatyne, which you can also find on the internet by undiscovered Scotland.
hugs from Huggs xx
Yes it is a shame the council didn't leave the roofs off the houses with the Sky dishes. LOL. Rib
Lovely
nice
Stunning. Who lives in a place like this?........you do Huggs and are so lucky. xxxx
Looks lovely. Where is it? It reminds me of Dundee, looking across the Tay.
It is a small island off the west coast of Scotland. It is called the Isle of Bute, and is stunning and scenic all around the island. I find great peace living here, and when I can't get out, my outlook is helpful as it is so soothing to my soul.
hugs from Huggs xx
What a fab view - certainly food for the soul. Lucky you xx
What a beautiful peaceful view,as they say a picture says a thousand words! Stunning, you lucky lady having that view! xxxx
Hi Wendells,
Yes it is, but this is just from my window, just around the corner is even better. It is very soothing to look out and see this. You live in a stunning area as well. Creation is so wonderful, and I am so thankful for this kind of an outlook.
hugs from Huggs xxx
such a beautiful view to wake up to in the morning. Lovely xxx
How lucky are you, it's beautiful.

I have a sea view also or should I say had but unlike you mine was spoilt by the land reclamation and the making of salt marshes for the bird sanctury but it does not take me long to pop to the sea front on my trusty scooter
Hi ant,
That's a shame your view was spoilt, but at least you can get around to where you want to go on your scooter, and get to your favourite parts where you can see the sea.
Take care,
hugs from Huggs xx
thanks huggs the only problem is impatient motorist who try to undertake me when I am turning right into the grounds of where I live I have put a case forward to my local MP to try and get my stretch of the road speed reduced in line with the other half which is a strict 20 and has speed tables
That's a good idea ant, and try and get a petition going with people round about if you haven't already done so. Another thing I have done in the past is enlisting the help of the local community council, as well as the local press. I have found the local press is a great help in these situations as the local council does not like bad publicity, particularly if it is backed up with your MP and photos of people in their scooters!! It works wonders. Keep trying and good luck. I have just remembered, the police might be helpful. I have found that the more "officials" involved the better.
hugs from Huggs xxx
thanks huggs you have planted a seed in my brain no one knows my wrath the residents in the part of the road I live in are rich with half a million pound houses they too get fed up with the speed of the traffic it puts them at risk also when they try to join the road just a pity there is no children involved nothing like kids for emotional blackmail
Too true ant, but you could pose on your scooter, and if you know others who are disabled get them involved too. It is not right that you have to fight so hard for what is a safety issue, but that is the way of the world now. I have found that one lone voice will change nothing, which is why you need numbers, many officials and the press. These people need to be embarrassed into changing things, and along with a strongly worded letter from your MP works wonders. The council hate negative publicity, particularly when MP's or Councillors are involved. Good luck, and keep trying. Take care,

ty Hugs at the moment I am having doubts as to whether Southport is a healthy place to live they have found 6 bodies scattered round the town in various places 3 were definitely murder 2 unexplained and 1 natural causes.
So wonderful. That view would definetly calm my soul.xxxxxxx
It looks beuautiful Huggs, a real tonic to the soul. Mx
Nice! This gives me the motivation to put one I took too. I shall work on that! Lovely Huggs, hug, Mic!
Beautiful, how lucky you are to have such a view. Is this also a small village with with a thriving community? Thinking what a wonderful place to live and helping to keep you on top of things when you are low. Best wishes barnowl
Hi barnowl
It is a small village, but it does not have much in it, 3 pubs ( priority for a lot !), a post office and a café. There is also a marina and a blacksmith. The community in the village does tend to rally around ( although there are a couple of high profile people who don't bother), but all over the island it happens. When we had the 3 hurricanes, two or three years ago, everyone did rally round then. The last hurricane left us without power, phone or ferries for almost 3 days. So people who had gas helped out the ones who had no electricity and so on. The officials though were slow off the mark, until our MP became involved, and now we have an action plan for any sort of emergency.
Take care,
Huggs xxx
Sounds idyllic, lucky you. Have you always lived there? Sorry not being nosy just wondered how you found such an island. You didn't mention shopping are you able to get out to the shops, thinking of food really. Have a good day barnowl
No, you are not being nosy at all. In the village we have the post office/shop, which is expensive and only really used if you run out of something. The main town on the island is 2 miles away. There is a regular bus service which runs every half an hour, except on Sunday when it goes only twice. In the town there is a supermarket (co-op) which is absolutely rubbish, but its all we have. A Tesco express is currently being built. I have to use taxi's to get around, but we have a pet shop, and other small business's. No chain stores though, so shopping on line for other things is the best option for me now. There are also a couple of chemists and the basic essentials, but if you want variety or less expensive things it has to be the mainland or online. It doesn't matter where you live, as there are always pro's and cons, so it just depends on what you want. There are times I cannot get out to the shops, so rely on neighbours or friends for that. Sometimes people will bring me stuff from the mainland from Sainsburys or something for a treat.
I haven't always lived here, but with my ex husband use to come here for long weekends and planned to retire here. I have always been drawn to the sea, so when my marriage came to an end, I just came here a bit earlier that's all! LOL My ex and I still get on and he comes for visits.
You could google isle of bute, and you will find plenty more to see, including my village of Port Bannatyne.
Will have to go now, as I am feeling a bit under the weather, but hope you enjoy touring the island. Have a great day.
hugs from Huggs xxx
ps forgot to say, that I have posted another sunset from the seafront which you might like.
Huggs def worked to help my mind switch off and rest even though not much sleep. Have a lovely day.xxxx
oh huggs do you have a room to rent
Hi Mandy,
Just floor space, and a lilo I am afraid, but you are welcome. Sorry about your recent problems with your consultants. Its a terrible situation that they put you in, so let them know that, and how it has affected you. I am really indignant on your behalf. Its quite scandalous, and at your next meeting make sure you get all the information you want, and if you want all the possible scenarios then make sure you get them. Its your lungs, your body and your life, and you should be as fully informed as you want to be. Sorry I meant to pm you on this, so I hope you get this message. Hope Mr Bailey is ok now. Take care,
hugs from Huggs xxxxx
