My calves are so swollen. I can leave big dents in them. Should I worry?

Yes, you need to stop your salt intake and also see your dr he will prescribe a diuretic this will reduce the swelling. Don't worry many of us have the same problem, I can lose up to 3lbs after I have taken my medication, that is all due to liquid retention.
There can be lots of reasons for swollen feet/ankles/legs but you need to see your Dr today for them to find out what is going on.

It can mean your heart is having difficulty removing fluid from your body. It can happen in older people regardless of the state of their lungs. So yes, very important to see your doc though its not necessarily a major problem.
As others say, fluid retention seems the most likely cause, but you really need to get this checked out as it could be something more serious.
Mine have been swollen. Now off the steroids and they normal again. Just swelling at ankles.
yes...you need to see your gp
I had the same and its called pitting oedema and it means your retaining fluid. It can be caused by many things, in my case it was High Blood Pressure and now take a diuretic and another heart tablet which has reduced the swelling slightly but my blood pressure is pretty normal now
Hi I recently had very swollen calves and feet and i was losing rapid lung function, well in my left leg and it was originally dignosed as swollen viens and was ignored, I ended up in hospital with a bi-lateral pulmonary embolism, now this isnt to scare its just to show that it can be serious and you should see your doctor soon as possible….im on meds now so found it just in time, but I would def get it looked at…….and gl with everything, keep at them, dont let them fob your concerns away..
