Does anyone use Philips Simply Go portable concentrator, is it worth getting one?
Hi
Speak to your oxygen team or provider.
They should be able to offer you a portable oxygen concentrator . Either a I- go or Imogen one G2 providing they are suitable for your needs..
When I go on holiday, my oxygen supplier , Air Liquide, lend me an Igo concentrator for indoors and I also have a Lib 10 which is a small tank of liquid oxygen to refill my Helios Marathon so that I can go out and about. They will either deliver it to my home so I can take it with me or to my destination. As it is the same sort of thing as I use at home I don't need a HOOF. They like to have about a fortnight's notice. Enjoy your holiday. Keep smiling.

I hired the Phillips Simply Go portable concentrator from Pure O2 and was very pleased with it certainly the smallest I have seen and worked well on both pulse and continuous - if I had the money I would have bought one - Pure O2 do have some occasionally for sale at reduced prices if they have been used for hire so might be worth investigating - Paul from there was very helpful. Having said that if you ask your current NHS supplier and give them at least 3 days notice they should be able to arrange a machine to be delivered to your holiday address for you to use for free - worth asking hiring is very expensive. Hope that helps.
Thanks for the advice, my O2 physio has said that I can get one on free hire from the NHS, I just have to give a heads up so that they can organise delivery and pick up
I have a Phillips simply go and found it really useful a I had to make frequent trips to see my father so I could have it on in the car via cigarette connection. I have to use it when moving about and when I have a flare up, the only problem I found is as I use 2 litres constant the actual battery only lasts about 3/4 hour before it needs recharging. I also have tanks which I can use with a trolley as well now when I'm out and they last about 3 hours the simply go and tanks are provided by nhs.
