Is it the Freeman you are attending? Its not really 'in town' but its not too far away either. A site like expedia might give you a good idea. Sorry I can't be more helpful but as I am only 40 miles away I just go over an back. But good luck. I think they are excellent over there.

Hi, yes it is the Freeman, will check expedia out, thank you for that and for your good wishes, ps we are coming from West Yorks.

What about the Newcastle tourist board? They might have a list of suitable hotels? Good Luck TAD xx

My daughter lives in Newcastle she lives about a mile away from the centre in a small flat so when we go up we stay at Holiday inn express next to the metro shopping centre the hotel is clean all rooms are en-suit and the breakfast is put out for you to help yourself that is included in the price of the room. My husband lives in hotels up and down the country I'm not sure about the hospital your going to but if you need any help let me know, good luck with your appointment the main hospital in Newcastle is fantastic
