After several calls to the Scotttish Ambulance today i was phoned by a senior supervisor who said she was booking my travel arrangements to Newcastle but said she was confused why £300 costs were mentioned as it was an NHS Hospital Appointment., But did say it's upto Newcastle to arrange the return trip. Thanks for all your replys and advice.

Hi Mattcass, presume your post means you should get your travel free, glad to hear that. Agree with Sokrackers, rumour has it that Newcastle is a great place for a night on the town 
:), so don't forget to pack the dancing shoes. Hope all goes well for you in July when you go for tests.
