Should I go up to A&E

I have COPD so on a morning I'm shocking, it takes me a good hour to "get going" however I've got the dreaded green phlegm although I feel fine and now it's 1pm and I'm up and about my breathing is ok. So should I go up to the hospital and get some antibiotics or wait and see how I am ??

Could you ring 111 and ask for advice , there might be an out of hours service available in your area .

Take care

We have a walk in centre where we live. Do you? I also have an emergency pack of antibiotics and steroids. Just in case. If you feel alright and your breathing is ok you could just hang on a while. I find that sometimes I get green am but its ok later.

Yes I have a rescue pack, but it was amoxicillin which I told the gp don't work for me anymore. So that's why I'm feeling this way probably 🤔

I hope you are now feeling a little better. Maybe time to talk to your GP about emergency rescue medications to keep at home.

I have the emergency meds but as they were only amoxicillin they obviously didn't work and this is why at 4pm I way too breathless to wait any longer

Then perhaps speak to him/her about a more suitable rescue med. Good luck. :)
