STRANGE ILLNESS ADVENT 23

It was a doctor's last patient consultation of Christmas Eve.

A mother came in with her young daughter and asked if he would examine her because she had been showing some strange symptoms ,including a significant increase in weight, sickness most mornings and a number of strange cravings.

He checked her out very carefully and eventually told the mother that her daughter was unquestionably pregnant.

At which news she protested very strongly.

''Don't be ridiculous, my daughter has never been with a man''

The girl confirmed that this was true and added that she had never kissed a man.

The doctor studied the girl very carefully , then quietly stood up and walked to the window and stared out of it.

Suspecting the worst the mother asked if there was something wrong.

''No not really'' replied the doctor, '' It might just be coincidence, but last time this happened a bright star appeared in the East!

lol, thank you for the humour. Hope you have all enjoyed Christmas, I certainly have had a nice one, although almost didn't make the restaurant for Christmas dinner, did not feel well at all and had nausea real bad. However, some ginger tea sorted me out, and a couple of paracetamol earlier. (Thank goodness, as I would have ruined everyone's day). Late last night I had chest pains all around, and realised I had another fracture in my spine, been very painful today, but I know the fracture will heal in time...my lungs won't of course. I am on a short course (5 days of steroids) again, only finished a 10 day course the other week and felt worse and more breathless coming off them. (also taking doxycycline) which one doctor said would not work and the other doctor gave me them! The steroids take the minerals out of the bones of course, and the doctors wonder why I do not want to take them. Between taking them and exercises above my head with small weights at re-hab, they have managed a fracture!! This is the third one I have had in my spine so far., together with that, and being very breathless....what the hell is gonna happen next? lol....
