hi Some of the sprays make your mouth feel dry, also if you breath through your mouth you will loose more moisture. It is good to drink plenty with a lung condition it helps to keep your lungs free from muck! Take careX

I thought those are signs of diabetes?

Mucodyne gives some a dry mouth.

Hi Becraftygirl. My husband suffers with a very dry mouth and he thinks it could be the oxygen as well. It might be worth asking.

Deffo check out your glucose levels! xx

Some times I suffer from a dry mouth occasionally, I think it's my inhalers. But my doc. Says I blame my inhalers for everything lol.

my partner has this too - he is not on oxygen but he thinks it is one of his meds (not the blue inhaler as this started before he had that).

Yes I have to keep a glass of water by my bed. Don't think it's the oxygen as I have been doing it for years. M x

Hi becraftygirl, I get a dry mouth if I'm stressed. Also sleeping with my mouth open dries the inside. I get it much less now and that i think dates from when i stopped using Spiriva. Good that people are suggesting diabetes checks - a raging thirst can be a symptom though i didn't know a dry mouth was part of that. But Im ignorant about diabetes. Best to get a check to rule it out. jean

Get your glucose levels checked. I suffer from dry mouth due to side effects of different meds & oxygen, many of them cause dry mouth.

I get a dry mouth its not nice you should go and see your GP to make sure it might just be your sprays.

I got such a dry mouth just before my pneumonia! I hope you are not brooding an infection. I had to keep a bottle of water by the bed, during the night it became intensely dry.

It's calmed down a bit. But I still get up at around 4 or 5 am and have a hot chocolate. For practical reason, a thermos flask is easier. Mind you, I haven't kept hot chocolate in a thermos!

thought mine was due to mouth breathing .... seems may be due to sinuses being blocked with mucus and nasal drip. since i started taking nasal spray am fine !
