medical reports

does anybody have any medical reports from their consultant about their conditions also spirometry results as I have been given no test results or reports on my conditions what soever

You will not be given them automatically. If you want copies of your results just ask. Most are happy to comply.

I always ask for a copy to be sent to me but a copy goes to your GP and you can ask them for one for yourself.

No we have never had any reports at all from doctors, the respiratory team or the hospital. TAD xx

i was charged £5 for a copy from my gp last jan...shocking

My consultant always sends me a copy of the results that he sends to my GP. I don't have to, and never had to, ask. That's service !

Same here - have copies of all the correspondence. They asked me the first time I went and after that I just get them automatically.

I saw the consultant a couple of months back and cos of an infection the respiratory team have been visiting me at home. Saw his letter then which had been sent to the team and to my GP. As for the CT scans, chest xrays and MRI scans I 've had during the last year I've always asked my surgery/GP for a copy of the results and have got them with no probs...xxx

I asked my consultant's secretary for copies of test results etc. and was told that an 'L' would be put next to my name (presumably for letter!) and since then I receive a copy of all correspondence from my consultant regarding my visits and tests.
