Afternoon everyone
This morning I met with a Professor, this was organised via my work.
We went through my health history and he examined my 2012/2013 Spriromity results, we also discussed my lung specialist letter.
All in all it went very well, he is happy with the 2012 and 1013 lung function results stating there is some air way restriction in the lungs however all other numbers were good reading.
Classed as stage 1 very mild with no medication required.
My FEV1 has went from 79% in 2012 to 81% in June this year.
He has stated that I have what I have (boullus emphysema) which has been diagnosed very very early, since I don't smoke and do all the right things it should not progress any further.
I have no other health concerns apart from a low hemoglobin/iron count which is being dealt with.
I have had the chest x rays and body ct scan, so hopefully no more can go wrong (i hope).
I have a full bill of health and he will be writing to my Employer to confirm this.
My doctor does not need to see me for regular check ups (only go if i need to see him) my Lung specialist does not need to see me again unless i need to see her.
Had my flue jag on Friday, walked in and the nurse said 'oh your very young to have boullus emphysema' what a moral buster going into the weekend.
All in all for a 45 year old I think i'm doing all the right things.
To all who have given up or in the process of giving up the dreaded FAGS, never stop trying, it's the single most important thing you can to for yourself and your family.
Stay safe and healthy.
