Bronchiectasis
Hello and welcome, I also have bronchiectasis as well as a number of other health problems. I joined this forum last Summer and have found it to be one of the best things I could have done. It is a bit like belonging to an extended family. I hope you will continue to post and enjoy being part of a unique Forum.
With best wishes.

Hi Mandy, nice to meet you
Hope you are coping ok , the diagnosis can be a bit of shock. also hope that you can get to see a specialist soon. Lovely photo
Welcome Mandy. Bronchiectasis is a scunner for the lungs, so you are in for a long haul of phlegm and chest clearances. Can I recommend Living With Bronchiectasis, a very useful booklet published by Chest, Heart and Stroke, Scotland, which is free and ought to be available at any chest clinic or GP surgery. There is a similar booklet, also free from the British Lung Foundation, with the same title. If you have not read either then go and find one. Keep safe too.
Welcome, Mandy. I'm sure you will find lots of useful information here about taking care of yourself, from others with your conditions, while you wait to see the consultant. All the best.
Hi., Absmith, I have had bronchiectasis for about the last twenty years and I have not let it take me down. I am on all the usual inhalers etc. And have antibiotic and steroid in the wardrobe. There are obviously things I cannot do like steep hills but otherwise I live a good life. I will be 80 next year.
Hi Mandy and a very warm welcome to you, although I am sorry to hear about your health issues.
Itโs a difficult time whilst waiting to have a consultation with your consultant. I hope your consultant has a special interest in Bronchiectasis - you might want to check them out online.
I have had bronchiectasis all my life and more recently asthma. I will put up a link for you for the European Respiratory Society Patient Priorities - Bronchiectasis, which I was lucky enough to be involved with in a small way as one of the patient group. It is updated constantly.

Hope you donโt have to wait long for the consultation and can get a management plan in place and physio advice.
