I had a telephone call from the DW+P today to let me know I have been placed in the Support Group. I feel so relieved and felt some of the pressure lifting. Common sense has prevailed so don't give up, the lady on the phone was very nice but formal as you would expect. If it is causing you distress and you haven't heard for a long time, I was 13 weeks or other circumstances occur which are life changing, it is worthwhile to seek assistance from your MP.
I'm having my Endoscope on Monday and my husband is having lots of tests this Friday including 2 scans, although it's been confirmed by biopsy he does have cancer, all I need now is to hear it's treatable, I'll never ask for anything else.
Thank you so much for all your support, I have appreciated it so much.....Janxxxx

I'm pleased that you have been placed in the Support Group for ESA. I applied for PIP about 3 months ago but they keep on cancelling my appointment with ATOS Health. Its a good idea to contact my MP and I will do so if they cancel on me again. I am sorry to hear about your husband's cancer, fingers crossed that he can be treated.
I hope the tests go well for you and your husband.
Well done on getting into the support group,,i,m still trying,,sorry to hear about the big c word,,and hope things will be okay for you both,,,i have to go into the facial clinic next week to have a sore lump removed from my ear,,my doctor bless him said it was nothing to worry about, after the hospital said it was cancer lump,,anything with the c word is frightening in my book, but will be glad when its off and pray that it does not come back,,good wishes to you both,,chrissie xx
Offcut I don't think they'll bother to assess me again, I'm 62yrs old next year my retirement age so I'll get the state pension then......got to say thanks to you for offering to help me if I needed it, it's reassuring to know there is support and you only need to ask. We're all in a similar situation regarding our health and supporting each other on here can make all the difference.
I may not be able to get in here very often from now on, but I do wish everyone all the very best........thanks, you are a good group of people. Jan xxxx
well done for getting you ESA sorted i'm still waiting they sent it to tribunal I haven't even had a medical yet. I rang them on Monday I got this women who seemed so confused I ended up crying with frustration in the end she understood what I was saying she sent a email to the tribunal people and said she would get someone to phone me to confirm it was being a fresh claim but no phone call yet, have no idea how long my claim will take.
