ESA decision

So after my ESA work capability assessment, I got the decision letter yesterday I've been put in the support group not expected to work and will be getting the extra paid on top of my universal credit. I would still like to work, something to help others similar to what this forum does for us all. Still waiting for my PIP mandatory reconsideration, the text message I got said they are looking at my claim again, I should hear back in 6 weeks, relieved to be getting the extra for ESA in the meantime. Have a good day everyone, hope your all as well as you can be.

From experience if you have been put in the support group it bodes well for your PIP. Obviously if your condition prevents you from working then it must have implications for your activities of daily living in relation to PIP. The DWP cannot ignore proof from one to refuse the other.

I was not working when I was diagnosed with COPD and I've now moved and will have to ask for help with rent and living allowance. Not looking forward to it but needs must and I guess I just get an appointment at the jobcentre and go from there.

Well done and good luck with with your pip and volunteer work, perhaps the blf could help you.

best regards

Simon

If you own your own home and not working you found apply for council tax reduction. And if you have a car a blue badge every little helps. Have you tried for universal credit

Good luck with your PIP claim, should be straight forward now you are in the supported ESA catagory. Claim for all your entitlements even if it is a lot of forms to do every little helps.
