got mine from Aldi £4 15 not sure if im going to get along with it allergy to pollen only bought it yesterday had one spoonful so far

I have read a great deal about manuka honey, most of it positive BUT there was an article in the The Times, about manuka honey not being all it was cracked up to be, and that bog standard honey was as good. It pays to weigh up everything in your mind and make your judgement. Something costing that expensive would have to be very good for me.

Hi

Hoping not to offend ... but I think the whole manuka Honey is just a money making way to sell honey at high prices to people who are hoping for a big health plus .... as far as I can see there cannot be much difference between one honey and the next .... essentially sugar.

I tend to think that if there were real health giving properties in these 'remedies' then the big pharma companies would be identifying, artificially refining and selling the active ingredient/s as having an impact on the disease ... not meaning to say don't take it ... but I think a good mix of fruit and veg might be money better spent

Have to agree with you 'postscript', I used to by it years ago when Morrisons first began selling it for something like £4 50 a jar.

Convinced myself it must be doing me some good and used it for a couple of years until the price doubled with no deterioration to my health when I stopped. Wasn't sure wether I was pleased or disappointed!!

I find it helps me. and try to afford the higher number . Make sure you don't kill the good stuff in it with water that is too hot.

I did some research and then took advice from a nurse who said, 1 it must be 25+ if you are fighting an infection, it must be good quality from a source that you can trust.

I ended up at Manuka Honey Direct they have lots of different types and some good offers. Manuka at 25+ is going to be quite pricey but it does seem to do some good.

I am sure that it has helped me with one of those bacteria that don't respond to penicillin, it also helps if I take a spoonful at night and I can feel it soothing as it goes down.

It might cost a bit, but I feel it's worth it, in fact my new supply has just arrived, try a small jar and see.

Good luck
