Frightened myself the other night, woke to find the oxygen tube wrapped round my neck twice. I normally face left, but must have turned in my sleep then again so went full circle, the nasal cannula had fallen out. Don't really know what I can do to prevent it happening again. Very scary.

It is a bit scary isn't it? I've awoken with the oxygen tube around my neck too. Like you, I think I must have turned over the wrong way.
However as I have done it a few times and come to no harm, I'm hoping I would wake up if it got too tight!!!
I try to have plenty of 'spare' tube laying on the bed now so that there is plenty of 'slack' should it be needed. Can't do without the oxygen so doesn't seem any point in worrying. I seem to becoming more and more fatalistic as my illness progresses.
I have been using oxygen for about 6 years now. Like Maggie I make sure there is plenty of slack and have never had it wrapped around me in bed. I have only once had the problem of losing the cannula and that was when I had one that did not really fit. Once it was changed I had no problems. Maybe you could ask your oxygen company to check it out for you?
