Well done :)

FANTASTIC NEWS !!!! :) :) :)

Well done you (sorry for shouting, but I'm soooo happy to hear you've done it)..... now for day two!

Together we can all help you beat those nasty white sticks, one craving at a time. Have a wine gum in celebration every time you beat a craving! Or have two, well, you deserve it!

Finger fidgets - I didn't know what to do with my fingers .... they twitched, so, I've been keeping mine busy, if they're not on the keyboards, they are picking up carrot sticks, or crocheting something - I've three lots of crocheting on the go around the house . What are you doing with yours?

WELL DONE (still happy, and still shouting, and even a celebratory dance too) and I'm so proud of you! :)

Hi Sandra hear goes to day 2 and 3 and so on didn't relise it would be this hard :(but I will succeed :) with the advice and support of you lovely people as for twitchy fingers I've been eating lots of sweeties(skittles) there my favourite :) oh and got myself a colouring book to try and keep myself busy xx

in reply topamela67

So proud of you Pam, and well done .... skittles hadn't came on my radar. I shall have to investigate how good they are as a treat, although yesterday I did pinch a couple of fruit pastels from a small child... they too pass muster as a pacifier - not the small child, the fruit pastels :) Good job with the colouring book... I hadn't thought of that. Well done you, really, I know it's hard, but over time those cravings do diminish - just stay on guard, they are quite sneaky and can pounce on you at the least expected moment... :)

Congratulations....I've just got a colouring book today as well! And I knit as you can guess

in reply toknitter

Oh, Knitter, I'm left handed and for the life of me could never quite manage it, and make it look as effortless as my mother. Now that lady was a knitter - she could knit, hold a conversation, keep track of a tv programme, and not need to even look at a pattern, never mind what row she was on - all at the same time..... hand sewing was also abysmally tried and failed, but my embroidery was passable.

Well done Pamela and Medow and anyone else who is giving up .I don't count nowheeze as she is an old hand at it now and can give you lot's of advice. B y now your sense of smell will have improved and you will be able to smell cigs from a mile off.I used to stand near them to get my nicotine fix the first few weeks when I stopped now I can't go near them. You have done the hardest bit by getting past that first day so keep it up it really is worth it.
