my daughter said on leaving me tonight "oh well mum you will have something to watch over the weekend"

Last week it was some one having a new roof the roofers spent more time on the phone hope they wasnt paying by the hour!!!

At my time of life, I sit and look out of the window and reflect on my garden, and, yes, who is going down the road. I could be useful if the police want any witness to any incident. However, I live t the top of a peaceful cul de sac.

Always good to know your neighbours hehe :)

in reply to chellshock

It's not being nosey, it's taking an interest in local community life!

Some of the neighbours I've had, you wouldn't want to know them!

Just finished reading a book - no great shakes, but it passed a few hours. I've not really got anything planned until Monday - when I go to the Rapid Access Chest Clinic ..... :) x x

What is a rapid access chest clinic Nowheeze?

in reply to chellshock

I believe it's got something to do with Cardiology - at least that's what it said on the letter. I had chest pains at the docs a week last Friday, so my doc made the referral. I've had this before. Electrodes are attached and you've to walk/run on a treadmill. Not looking forward to it.... I remember how painful it was before (and that was 15 years ago)

I'm always reading wouldn't be without my kindle :)

in reply to chellshock

I'm right old fashioned. I like turning actual pages! :o

chellshock profile image
chellshock in reply to

I used to be like that but find it easier reading with a kindle as lighter than some books

I don't have a kindle, but have the kindle app on a 7" tablet (and the laptop) much easier to see too, and so many books free and under a £1. Wouldn't be without it now.

I have set tomorrow morning aside to really study my new laptop. It has windows 8. I have a tutorial guide. So good for the brain. This one is really old - that makes two of us. On investigation, I believe it will be really good but have a play with it.

I saw this, and I immediately thought of you, Annie. Enjoy your new laptop :) x x

in reply to

After reading that bloke comments - I wonder! And |I have set a beautiful sunny morning to sort things out. I would have welcomed a little encouragement, no wheeze.

in reply to

Sorry Annie, it was the start menu that I thought you might find useful.

in reply to

Me being touchy, thinking about a new machine. Sorry for that, nowheeze

in reply to

No apology needed, Annie. Most techs I know hate the UI interface, and have installed a start menu. :)

I'm just sat here watching my hair recede in the mirror. There you go, all gone! Wish I had a cat to stroke. I'd cut my toe nails if I could bend that far.Thumbin' through old Which magazines now. Shame I can't afford anything in them. Bank holidays are boring. Wonder what the little blonde nursey from yesterday is doing. Got a phone number here somewhere ..........

in reply to phillips1

Ain't it always the same - you have the time to spend, but not the money to do it with....

Hey, can anyone else access their messages. I've apparently got one, but every time I've tried to click on it, I keep getting the Error 404 message.... :(

phillips1 profile image
phillips1 in reply to

Happens to me now and then. I just go off line and then come back on. Usually works. Bobby xx

in reply to phillips1

Okay, I tried that, but I'm still getting the 404. The only way I've been able to access the messages, is via my email when I get a notification if anyone messages me...

I will be relaxing by my pool in Barbados, drinking iced refreshing cocktails ,sitting under the beautiful clear blue skies, the lovely sunshine with a staff member wafting a fan over me.My personal chef creating culinary masterpieces all served up by my vallet.

Maybe, just maybe!

Done nothing today except have a shower, washed my hair and made myself a ham salad for tea :) Tomorrow I'm invited to a family 'do' in order to meet my new great nephew who was born a little over a week ago :) Can't wait !

Monday is likely to be chaotic on the roads so me and Mr. Elian will probably stay at home chilling out ;)

Keep on keeping on ....

I'm off to Kew Gardens in an hour. Invested in a pass for £59 per year and can take a guest in. So pleased I did, it's already paid for itself - £16 to get in normally!! I get to have a lovely few hours plus it keeps me seeing friends when it would be easier to stay home and be lazy.

Have a lovely sunny weekend everyone wherever you are

Was just popping in for a chat but the limo has arrived to take me to the airport. HE! HE! :)
