I have had asthma for years and always used Clenil & Salbutamol which worked fine until recently. I have recently had a couple of chest infections. Asthma nurse has now prescribed me Luforbec, I have only been taking this for a few days 1 puff in a morning 1 in an evening. I have a headache, dizziness, heart palpitations (increased heart rate & noticeable beats) feel sick, have a terrible upset tummy and my throat is so sore. I also feel like my lungs are burning. Has anyone else experienced these side effects? Do they go away or should I seek a different inhaler?

Hi luforbec is a similar cheaper version of Fostair 100/6. Others who have been happily on Fostair were switched to Luforbec and have been ok others not.
Read the Luforbec leaflet and see if your issues are listed then speak with your asthma nurse.
As others have said, don't hesitate to go back to your asthma nurse or doctor as you shouldn't have to put up with these side effects. Unfortunately, side effects occur sometimes and yours seem to be quite horrid. It could be any of the ingredients in the inhaler that may be responsible. Hopefully, a different inhaler will resolve all matters, including your asthma flare up. There's no reason why they can't prescribe the branded Fostair now that you've tried Luforbec.
I too had burning lungs and bronchial tubes when I tried Luforbec, I was changed from Fostair. After waiting 17 days for my phone call from the asthma nurse I have been swapped back to Fostair. In the meantime I had to obtain a Fostair, luckily my friend is on Fostair, same dose, and was able to give me a Fostair. I explained to my asthma nurse that I felt my initial call should have been treated as urgent, but was simply ignored. From comments made the medical staff are well aware of the side effects for some people using Luforbec.
