I was recently put on Fostair from Clenil. I tried this in the past and it made my legs shaky so didn't stay on it. started it again and am wary because I already have unsteady legs from a spinal problem. does anyone know how long this shakiness might last for?

fostair side effects
Hi hoven. Maybe it wears off as your body gets used to it - I have never experienced this, but there are probably others here who have and will reply in due course.
I was wondering whether it might be an idea to contact your GP to see if there is an alternative- given the fact you some problems with mobility without this a different inhaler may suit you better - after all you don’t want to have a fall. Better safe than sorry.
thank you for your reply. I was hoping that the effects would wear off, I didn't take it for lo ng enough tbe first time to see. have reached the end of the road with any others so will give it a bit longer. I am taking 100/6 twice a day, although wondering how this works as the Clenil was 200. have tried two biologics which sorted the breathing but again horrific side effects.
hi hoven, I'm sorry you're experiencing this. Which dosage inhaler are you on? I was told to take two puffs of the 200/6 twice a day initially and I had the shakes all over. I was completely fine if I only took one. It turns out that I simply don't need 12mcg of the long acting bronchodilator in one go and it caused shaking just like if I take too much blue inhaler I don't need.
I ended up having my dosage reduced to one puff of 200/6 twice a day, plus one or two puffs of a separate steroid inhaler twice a day to avoid the extra LABA I don't need.
Whatever dosage you're on, don't hesitate to go back to your doctor urgently and request a change of inhaler. Unsteadiness can be a huge problem and is certainly worth talking to your doctor about.

I am just starting to get hyper on high doses of fostair, so they are looking at switching me more to alvesco. It is hard to find what suits us all, as we are all different.
I was put on fostair after 30 years of qvar and ventolin. I had Hugh side effects and my asthma got increasingly worse. It made me feel ill and now have thrush in throat and in bronchial tubes. Back on my old inhalers.
I was put on Fostair 100 and use it MART method. It has been very good for me. I was previously on Clenil and Salbutamol. Last week I was "blow tested" , I blew 550 and I have never got near that before, maybe 400 on a good day. Yes, it needs time to get used to it and a spacer is, for me, a must. I have no side effects. We are all different. M
