relvar and headache

I’ve been changed to relvar inhaler the high dose a week ago as the fostair wasn’t working for me .

I’ve had bad headaches every day, and wondering if these settle down after a while . I know it’s a side effect of this inhaler?

I am on Relvar 184/22 and also had headaches when I started on it. For me, they settled down after about 4 to 6 weeks. Might be worth persevering, maybe with paracetamol to take the edge off the headache. If it just keeps happening then you can discuss with GP, pharmacist or Asthma Nurse at your surgery. Good luck!

Hi 47mum,

I have been on the lower Relvar dose (92/2) for many years now. Will remember that I had a slight headache for a few days after the switchover from Seretide. But it settled down quickly, and I have never any headaches nowadays. In your case, I would wait and see. Use a painkiller, as suggested elsewhere and if it doesn't settle down, see the Doctor who prescribed the Relvar.

I had headaches when I first started on Relvar 184/22 but they soon stopped as my body adjusted to it.

Try and persevere if you can as it’s been an absolute life changer for me and I hope you’ll find it the same.

Thank you so much , I’ve started taking in before bed rather than morning and today I’m not as bad so hopefully they’ll calm down x
