Hi Aisling, I've only recently been diagnosed with asthma which the specialist is thinks is allergic asthma, as the blood markers point to this. I am on the Relvar Ellipta 92/22 which has been an enourmous help to me. Although I spent 6 days in hospital on oxygen, nebulisers 4 times a day and IV antibiotics and steroids. On discharge I was given a 12 day reducing dose of oral steroids and the relvar ellipta. The only real symptoms I've had with the relvar has been dry throat and almost like my windpipe is dry. At the advice of various people I have also been taking a pro-biotic after the relvar (and after gurgling and rinsing my mouth out after inhaling the relvar). It may help but if you do feel really sick & the headaches are very bad get in touch with your doctor / specialist and see what they can do to help. It's hard enough struggling with asthma without other health issues.. Jo x

I do find it a great inhaler in the fact that I dont need to use the Atrovent so much. I will try it for another month and I will take priobotics. I do rinse my mouth after use. I think there are effects with all inhalers so this might be the case with me. Thankyou Jo!

Hi Aisling, I was changed over from Symbicort to Relvar Ellipta 184/22 about 6 months ago and it’s been great. I have had some headaches but think they’re mainly down to lack of sleep thanks to the corticosteroids.

Stay well and good luck.

Thankyou rainbowbrite. This is only my first month on the high dose of Relvar so it may just be teething problems. I will give it another month and see how I go.
