Only thing I can recommend is since using montelukast I haven't had to use my salbutamol inhaler.
Good health and hope it improves.

Hi there , im just wondering what reason you were given montelukast and what other medication you are on. It was prescribed for me last January as I was having new more chesty like asthma symptoms. I have had asthma all my life, not chronic but persistent . I currently take just a preventer and am sceptical about new medication. Many thanks for you thoughts.
I wanted to be better and be able to do more and I was prescribed Montelukast some years ago - game changer!! sometimes its not OK to just accept a level of capability below what you want.... IU am very hoopoe, no side effects and am now much more active which in itself makes me more able to coiled with downturns in my asthma - win/win
I have allergic asthma and have been taking montelukast for the allergy part along with fexofenadine as I understand it works primarily on the lungs to help the mucus side of things and it’s def helped me as I don’t take my salbutamol much now
Wow. That's amazing. Sadly it does nothing for me. I have been taking it for many years and nothing. Different strokes for different folks I guess.
