I was wondering if anyone has received a lft or a pcr test kit through the post from Gov/ Nhs

I have received both but haven't had to use them yet. I was wondering why are they sending me these for I didn't ask for them..

Can anyone spread light on this.

Yes I've had them, where you shielded? Have you been identified as high risk?

I got them because I was deemed high risk ..... and I got an email from the NHS about it.....

In a nutshell if you have /think you have covid you need to fo one of the tests (lft's now, the pcr will have been sent to you a few months ago and you should keep it because you may be asked to confirm the lft with a pcr) and submit the results.... someone will contact you if its positive with the treatment options (mine where NMABS.. neutralising monoclonal antibodies and antiviral tablets.... apparently the NMABS work better so that's what they give me)

I did have pneumonia end of Nov beginning of December after a year of chest infections and a previous admission weekend before. But I think it was covid as I had all the symptoms of it but it was before they knew about it.

So that's maybe why.

But I'm careful I don't go to big supermarkets I get a home delivery to far for to walk and other shops I try to shop locally and avoid town unless I have an appointment at the opticians and only go in them when quite with only going in shops locally they know me and always ask if I'm OK and don't hassel me if I don't were a mask because I fell I'm suffocating if needed I do have a scarf around my neck if needed but so far apart ftom one occasion I went into a small spa shop a woman came up where's your mask you gotta wear a mask. On thing it's none of your buisness and second I'm exempt with what is non of your buisness and one of the staff came up asked if I was OK and told the customer to stop harassing their customers if don't like her not wearing a mask go some where else.

They know me as I'm a regular customer and have been for years and if they don't see me they always ask other shop owners who know me if I'm OK.

Yeh,I got one a while ago & wondered why too. It’s coz I’m listed vulnerable, didn’t know that either then,& they have drugs now that work well for us such folk,so we can get treatment fast.Used a lft once, was ok but keeping them just in case, good to check if you’re worried you got Covid. x
