HI all, Im wondering if anyone has tried a home allergy testing kit that you buy from a chemist ? Are they worth buying. Do they work.

Allergy home testing kits
I think it may depend on what you are testing for, we paid for one to be done at the local health shop and it came back with pineapple and milk and, as it turns out, that accurate.
I wouldn't get one a colleague did one and was told to avoid a number of things but after an anaphylaxis had testing on NHS and got a different list?
I've a friend who had one and it showed he was allergic to lots of things. He later had proper testing at the allergy clinc and he wasn't allergic to any of those things. Save your money!
thank you, Il save my money and hopefully get it done on NHS. 😊
Wow, I'm in the USA, and it's amazing that you can even buy one. After reading this I wouldn't, but still... Lol
The only valid testing is skin tests and Blood RAST tests. The home kits don't do this and can show all sorts and still leave you exposed to allergies. Ask GP referral for tests please! x
This is spooky Frin9e! We are just looking at a food allergy testing kit!
