I had vaccine the Oxford Zeneca on the 6th of feb and after a few hours I started to feel dreadful with flu like symptoms. After taking Paracetamol every 4hrs I started to feel better after 48hrs. I do hope I now have some antibodies and I also know what to expect when I get 2nd dose . You think at the time your not going to recover but you do . Thank God we have a Vaccine.

I had flu like symptoms too, but not as bad as yours. They did return about 2 weeks later, along with a red & itchy arm at the site of the injection. Only lasted 24 hours again, followed by a day of fatigue. Apparently it's a good sign that the immune system is on form. I agree, so grateful we have the vaccine.

I had the Oxford-Astrazenica jab too, about 5 days ago. I had flu symptoms including a fever for about 24 hours, then pins and needles in the extremities and a very swollen achey shoulder on the side of the jab. Ive also had a lot of asthma symptoms - wheezing, tight chest and short breath. I just keep reminding myself it is only a fraction of what it would be if I'd had the actual virus and am very thankful for that!

I had a similar reaction to the Astra Zeneca vaccination. Had the jab at about 11am and had to go to bed at 8.30pm with chills, and then I was burning hot. Took paracetamols but couldn't sleep till much later feeling poorly. Woke up feeling fine the next morning! Two weeks on I'm having an achey day. I've also had restless sleep once or twice which is unusual for me and wondering if it's connected? I've also read elsewhere that a reaction is a good sign of an active immune system and it's definitely worth it for the protection given by vaccination. So grateful to the scientists who've done a remarkable job and the NHS.

Had the AZ vaccination about 3 days ago. Had mild fever on night, heavy head with headache and very tired. Feeling a better 3 days on, just achy arm and raised bump where injection was. Friend at work who had jab same day, because of age also had flu like symptoms. Reassuring that others having similar experiences. I did feel worse after having last years flu jab though. Plus like others grateful to have had first jab and with way being managed in Nottingham. I’ve got appointment for second jab already, which my Mum and Dad don’t have . Only minor thing for me was receiving text 3 days before letter invite and wondering if sent text wrongly. Like many others on this forum I wasn’t sure whether I would fall into clinically vulnerable group or not.

I have no spleen hence the reason I was given vaccine but am not sure how it works for everyone. It was reassuring for me because of my lung condition .
