Any advice pl shall I increase the fostair next haler or take ventolin as required? I am on the mart regimen fostair nexthaler to be used as preventer or reliever. Thanks

Hi ahfat41, if you are on the MART regime then use the Fostair as your reliever as well as your preventer. This is helpful: chiesiair.co.uk/patient/wp-... give us a ring on the helpline if you are concerned 0300 2225800 option 3 nurses

The Chiesi link for some reason won't go straight to PDF for the MART plan, follow the link then click on the 'Fostair Nexthaler', then onto the' Fostair Nexthaler user guide' and lastly 'Asthma (MART) 100/6 link' (sorry about that 😀)

Hi, this is my first posting on here .. I am also on fostair next 100/6 and take two puffs in the morning and two puffs at night ( winter time & flare ups ) and it does help.. but maybe wise to run it past your asthma nurse or GP.. take care ..

I'm on this inhaler and also on the MART regime. I have also been prescribed a reliever inhaler, as I'm using the full amount of puffs I can on the Fostair and it wasn't controlling my asthma (I'm also on Spiriva as well). If you're just prescribed the Fostair at the moment, I would try sticking to your treatment plan and using that for extra puffs to begin with. If you're finding it isn't helping, then use the Ventolin and get in touch with your GP/Asthma Nurse (or A&E/999 if you're really struggling) so they can review your plan and see if it needs adjusting x
