At the 12hr mark if you’re taking it twice a day. So if it’s 8am, then 8pm. That being said most people just take it when they find it easiest (as it builds in your system over time). Hope this helps

Hi Emma. I don’t think there’s any hard and fast rule. As remarked, it is cumulative in your body over a period of time, so I don’t think an hour or two either way make much difference. That said, I believe it’s good to have a routine. I keep mine next to the bed and it’s a part of my going to bed and waking up routine, when I line up all my pills and get the whole damned “Staying Alive” thing over in one fell swoop.

I usually make the puffer the last thing after I’ve swallowed the pills with water but I’m not fixated about this as once it’s in your airways, swallowing water isn’t going to affect its working.

Best wishes

John B

Roughly 12 hours from the morning dose is the ideal I think. Other than it really doesn't matter (in terms of the actual medicine).

Ideally 12 hours after your first dose.

Because you're taking it long term, getting into a routine that fits your lifestyle is more important than strictly every 12 hours. If you stick exactly to 12 hours you my may miss a dose because other things happen at the time you've chosen to use your inhaler. I use mine when I'm in bed at night and when I've had my first cup of tea in the morning which is roughly twelve hours apart, some days it might be longer, some days shorter but it's regular. If I'm taking a short course of antibiotics it's normally strictly every 8 hours, but for inhalers I stick to a convenient routine.

Preventer: approximately every 12 hours. I take mine 10-11pm before brushing teeth for going to bed and 10-11am after breakfast/teeth cleaning (don't want to inhale any granola particles. After inhalers a nice clean gargle. P
