Chest pain when lying or leaning

Hi,

I have recently been diagnosed with Asthma and am gradually gaining control over my symptoms. I am on Seretide 125 2 x am and pm, Montelukast and Fexofenadine. The right side of my chest feels very sore and cramped if I lie on my side or stomach or lean on it e.g. on a sofa. Any thoughts appreciated.

Thank you,

Hi

Sounds like that last bit of inflammation still needs to go down. It'll probably go as you gain more control. I'm on very similar meds to you & I found the soreness takes a while to subside.x

Thanks for taking the time to reply Jollygood,

That was my thought too. I tend to get quite a lot of inflammation after a flare up but there is clearly some residual inflammation. I have been lying propped up on pillows for sleeping which helps. This is all new to me so it is hard to know what to expect!

It's new to me too & it's such a huge learning curve! I learn something new every week, mostly from this site & this lovely group of people. One thing I do know is that it sometimes takes a while for things to calm down. Hang in there & I hope you feel better soon.
