I got fairly bad and been on steroids and atibiotics for a week now.Although alot easier during the day i find nights bad.i sleep in a chair but can only sleep say 2 hours at a time. Then have to get up and clear my chest which has congested and makes it hard to breath as a result i get very fatigued and dread nights. Any feed back aporeciated

Night time worry
I wake up every night since my asthma deteriorated two years ago, prior to that I’ve always found night time waking to be a indicator my asthma was getting worse.
Unfortunately it’s pretty common due to the body’s natural steroid being lowest at night and of course being led down doesn’t help with coughing and clearing your chest!
I don’t really have great tips as it’s something I struggle with the most like yourself I either sleep in a chair or propped up
I have one of those v shaped cushions (actually bought for when I was breastfeeding around 20 years ago but has been invaluable ever since for various reasons) and that helps keep me propped up to sprawl on the sofa if I am having a grim night. Having significant pain with muscles between all my ribs means leaning back is very uncomfortable anyway so v shaped pillow has really come into its own ....... best purchase ever and certainly owes me nothing now I reckon! 👍🏻👏🏻
Good luck as sleep deprivation is horrendous
I think everyone struggles at night when their asthma is bad. I spend my nights on the couch propped up due to a combination of not being able to breath, congestion and steroids. All of these things affect sleep unfortunately. I found with myself that when the episode is improving and my sleep pattern is completely disturbed, listening to a calm app helps to restore my circadian rhythms. In the meantime however, I catch whatever sleep I can whenever I can and just go with it.
