Hi, has anyone been prescribed the above?, any thoughts?.
I have just been given it as my asthma is not under control.
I believe it is the maximum dose.
Thanks

I'm on the weaker one 160/4.5 and take 2 puffs twice a day and its good
Yes I've been using that inhaler, 320/9 , for at least two years. I do the normal 2 puffs twice a day and so get through 2 inhalers a month
It's s dry powder inhaler. You're supposed to rinse your mouth after taking it but I forget.
When I last saw my GP I remember telling him that it is the best inhaler I have ever had . (I am 74, and have had asthma for 45 years.)
My asthma is now well controlled and very rarely do I need to use my salbutomol inhaler.
I'm on Symbicort which has the same active ingredients but a slightly different ratio. I use a low maintenance dose and up to a similar dose to that as I feel the need. It was a great improvement over the preventer I had before.
I find if I forget to gargle and rinse when on the higher dose it can affect my voice a bit.
Was put on Spiriva Respimat as well a year ago and the two together made a fantastic difference.
Hope it works well for you.
