Has anyone suffering acid reflux and asthma read the book The acid watchers diet and found their asthma and/or reflux has improved. Are presently going down this track as my previously controlled asthma (one ventolin a year required when having a chest infection) to now (past 3 yrs) being on Symbicort, Spiriva, and currently on weaning off of prednisone (since Oct 18.) As a result of the prednisone have developed cataracts in both eyes and eyesight getting worse. My Dr has always thought something is causing the asthma like symptoms but respiratory clinic say it is asthma. Also had a big gallstone and had my gallbladder removed 8 weeks ago. Still have the acid reflux and are now finding more foods I should be avoiding (through reading the book) . Have had 3 hospital admissions and last time was told ""There is no point in giving you such and such medication because you don't respond to normal asthma meds. I am 72 and live in NZ.
