My experience with Seretide so far .

I been using Seretide from age 10 , now i´m 30. never had any issues maybe because i used this medication very differently from what the doctors prescribe me..... i basically use this medicine only when i am short of breath or once a day.

now there´s two types of seretide the DISK and the Inhaler.

The disk seretide i hated it because ;

1 it has only 60 doses

2 i used to have some throat issues all the time.

3 hyper ventilation and cough

4 the problem with the disk, is that you never know if you use it correctly into your lungs or if you swallow ..... in my opinion disk inhalers shout stop be commercialized, they are hard and weird to use and you'll spend to much money a year.

I switched to inhaler seretide 120 doses, why ?

1 because i can easily breath it in to my lungs, so no cough issues or sore throat just gas it up!

2 one seretide inhaler lasts a year because i only use once a night or when in emergency. some times one dosages last me a week or two weeks without breathing problems. but if i go out drinking or stay around polluted places then i feel the need to use one dosage a night... i prefer at night so i can sleep nicely or before any sport activity.

i stopped buying ventolin or other emergency inhalers because seretide inhaler does the job very effectively you just have to be patient and wait 15 mins. IT DOES WORK.

nutrition advice ; apparently eating one raw onion makes me cough out impurities if i intentionally cough it out, that way i can go back to use seretide once a week again we a brand new detoxed lungs.

my only issue was, when you taking antibiotics, it says in the information that you cant use inhalers while on antibiotic treatment. since i´ve done the treatment for , Helicobacter 30 days and Typhoid fever 7 days my heart has never been the same. i used the seretide for 4 to 6 days during the treatment. maybe that was what destroyed my heart rate.

one night my heart skipped a beat for 10 seconds and has been happening to 2 years.

the other night my heart beats very slow to the point of having dizziness and near faint. i have to rush to the kitchen to eat bit of sea salt.

now i am afraid to sleep, and i dont want to take any more medication the problem is i live in a tropical country and i know i might get another typhoid fever. i am desperate for typhoid fever vaccination to be commercialized in Angola so i can avoid antibiotics

conclusion

seretide inhaler have been good to me when used once a day or once a week and is useful in emergencies. it may be a possibility that doctors are over perscribing seretide and to be used twice a day, this may be an unnecessary over dosage and expensive.

i urge the scientists to continue to make inhalers and stop tablets and any powder products. Gas is best !!!!

seretide Inhaler asthma preventables RULES !!!!

I prefer dry powder inhalers because the propellant in the aerosol ones makes my asthma worse.

I’ve never had any issues, and I use mine exactly as prescribed.

The 60 doses vs. 120 doses is because you only use one inhalation of the powder inhaler where you would use 2 inhalations of the puffer.

In some countries I think doctors are too quick to prescribe Seretide when a steroid inhaler alone would be sufficient but for most people who are prescribed it, it is based on a wealth of high-quality research. If Seretide helps you in an ‘emergency’ then that’s great but for almost all asthma attacks, it would take too long to be effective. Maybe you need to get your condition re-evaluated as it sounds like you don’t really need Seretide, and are therefore wasting money and exposing yourself to potential side effects unnecessarily.

Which antibiotic leaflet said not to use inhalers with it? That’s rather unusual.

Seretide is supposed to be a long acting inhaler not to be used as a short burst inhaler like ventolin
