Bacteria in the lungs?
I called the surgery they said the bacteria is “haemophilus influenzae” with I think is the answer for all the infections I had this winter...i wonder what will happened now and if my 4 years old son could have contacted it from me already...”
This is a common infection for those of us with Bronchiectasis and Asthma. The most common anti-biotic for it is Clarithromycin, and sometimes Azithromycin. The go-to drug used to use Amoxicillan, but now it is often resistant. (about 25% of the time). It can be tricky to get rid of, and may take a long course of antibiotics. Your son is unlikely to have caught it from you if he had the Hib injection as a baby.
I do hope you feel better soon and you get the right medicine.

I had clarithromycin and Co-amoxiclav but still comes back after I finish the course.I’ll see tomorrow what the Gp will give ..I hate that I have also surgery for “fixing” septum and I am thinking they most probably will reschedule it....and I already bought plane ticket to my mum to be here with me for the surgery...damn!
