burning lungs

I've been diagnosed severely asthmatic, but not brittle yet my attacks come on over around half an hour at the most and I can be ""OK"" with my asthma up until the burning starts, then everything goes downhill from there and takes a while to turn around again. does anyone else get burning lungs for about half an hour before an attack, but no other symptoms, until wheezing, coughing, shortness of breath & chest tightness kicks in?

Hi,

I'm the same as above, read your post but have no personal experience of this so didn't reply.

Definitely don't take it personally :-D

Hi little Miss

I get burning sensation in my lungs but usually only during and after attacks of coughing. It can then linger for an hour or two but I don't think I've ever had it as a precursor to any kind of attack. Don't know if that helps at all. Like the others, I also read the post before, but didnt reply as it didnt seem to be what you were after. Sorry.

:)

I have only known I have asthma a wk (assumed breathlessness was due to weight lol)

anyway today I went to get my daughters from school and walked quite briskly up the hill, while waiting for them I got the worst burning sensation in my lungs, then my chest went tight, I dont know what it was etc though

that's how my attacks start, it comes on over the space of about 5 minutes or so.

I'm sorry I haven't been able to reply to this, I've been in hospital and I'd forgotten I'd made this thread.
