I’ve just finished two courses of steroids and a dose of anti biotics for a bad chesty cough. I am now riddled with white mucus, coughing it up constantly. I’ve been steaming daily, doing breathing exercises and take fostair twice daily. Please help, it’s driving me mad 😢 don’t know what else to try/do

I was changed from seretide to fostair (pink inhaler) and it has suited me till now. I’m going to go back to see my consultant next week privately to ask about changing inhalers

Hi there, I’m new here, seems there are a few of us struggling atm, I was diagnosed with late onset Asthma in my 40s (62 now) I too have been changed from Symbicort to Fostair last week, following a trip to a&e on Boxing Day. First Gp appointment I could get in over a month of phoning following a chest infection in November (saw advanced nurse). There seems to be so much conflicting advice given, no let up with coughing, so unable to exercise for a month. Mouth like the bottom of a birdcage with ventolin use.

I’ve had fostair for a while. Doesn’t seem to be helping. Been on steroids for last 3 weeks. Normally there great. But don’t feel like I’m getting much relief.
