Has anyone ever had a build up of mucus, particularly at night time but through out the day too. I am on montelukast 10mg but the side effects make me suffer a severe chest infection? The mucus production keeps me awake at night and as soon as I wake up I've got to constantly clear my throat. Just wondering if anyone could help me. Thanks

I often get a build-up of mucus between nose and throat, especially when I lie down (what we occasionally refer to as 'clag' in this part of Yorkshire). It can be an awful nuisance & keeps me awake many a night. If anyone has a solution, I'd be delighted!

When I was like that the doctor prescribed a nasal spray. Mometasone works best for me. He mentioned it could be post nasal drip. I don't need it all the time, just occasionally.
